Field of research:

Algebraic Geometry on the complex field (list of pubblication).

1. Curves: Linear Series and Jacobians, Moduli spaces and their rationality, Set-theoretical Complete Intersections.

2. Classical Adjunction Theory and projective classification of Surfaces and higher dimensional Varieties.

3. History of Mathematics of the 19^th Century focusing on elliptic and transcendental functions with particular interest in the work of N.H. Abel in these fields.

Teaching (2003-04):

Functions of one complex variable, 1^st quarter,

Geometry V, 2^nd quarter.

Geometry of real and complex varieties: Riemann surfaces I, 1^st quarter, Riemann surfaces II, 2^nd quarter.

Students are received on Wednesday and Thursday 10,30-11,30 a.m. or by appointment.
