Location of the laboratory:

The laboratory is located near the city of Borås.

By bus, from the Gothenburg/Landvetter Airport, take the Airport bus towards Borås centre (not the yellow ones for Gothenburg), ask driver to announce for Västeråsens industriområde and "SP" (or the former name: "Provningsanstalten" better known to the locals). There is also a bus from the centre of Borås city.

By car, take Nat. Road #40 and exit at "Sjömarken/Ramnaslätt" or "Tullen".


A brief description of the laboratory:

" SP develops and transfers technology for improving competitiveness and quality in industry, and for safety, conservation of resources and good environment in society as a whole. With Sweden's widest and most sophisticated range of equipment and expertise for technical investigation, measurement, testing and certification, we perform research and development in close liaison with universities, institutes of technology and international partners.
SP is the country's central institution for technical evaluation, measurement technology, testing, research and development. SP participates actively in national and international standardisation work, as well as in the current European harmonisation of test method. SP has about 500 employees, of whom the majority hold advanced technical qualifications.
Our headquarters are in Borås in the west part of Sweden"
