Software for shapefile creation with PDA (Operative System: Windows CE)

The program allows on a Pocket PC PDA device (Windows Mobile 5) the creation of a
shapefile ( SHP ), the vectorial format
for GIS-CAD (Geographic Information Systems ), for the
geometry "point" 2D (xy-coordinates) and 3D (xyz-coordinates).
The shapefile is built beginning from database file (.txt) where
every data records, each correspondent to one point, is situated on a
separate row;
inside each record there are more fields separated by a delimeter character
(comma, semicolon or tab).
There can optionally be a first heading
line,
with the same separation character of the following records, that
contains the names of the fields, in number equal to the record fields
of the whole file.
In particular each line contains the geographic
(latitude and longitude) or grid (northing and easting) coordinates
of the point, in addition with several attributes.
The creation of the SHP file is made easier by a wizard panel, where the user can
select the field names in the correct order.
The software creates the SHP file as well as the other files that come together to
the SHP (SHP DBF SHX i.e. files name.shp name.dbf and name.shx )
